Local Attractions
The swoosh of the snow under your skis or snowboard. The fresh air. Marble Mountain is the best skiing in Eastern Canada. Its vertical ride of 1700 feet matches your skills on 34 different runs, from novice to expert. The whole family can take advantage of the facility, with programs and lessons to suite every ability. With two quad-lifts to take you to the top, the view is magnificent, as far as the eye can see, including the Humber River and the Blomidon Mountains. A world class ski lodge, excellent food, and great apres ski, Marble Mountain is the place to ski. SKI THE BEST. SKI THE MOUNTAIN. MARBLE MOUNTAIN.
Sixty scenes from Newfoundland and Labrador’s history are carved by local artists into this 17 metre, 360 year old cedar tree from British Columbia. Images commemorate fifty years as a Province of Canada. The Heritage Tree is located at the entrance to Marble Mountain.
Steady Brook Trail and Falls
Steady Brook Falls is one of the Humber Valley’s most scenic features and can be seen up close by following a short one kilometre trail, which begins just behind George’s Mountain Village, at the base of Marble Mountain. The falls tumble over 100 feet and is particularly spectacular after heavy rain or during the winter snow melt in the spring. Use the trail carefully, and please follow the trail.
